Happy Accidents

Today I spent a post work evening out at the Bay of Skaill.

Much of it was practicing my sand snake moves in order to get closer to the ringed plover and sanderling feeding on the decreasing beach as high tide approached.

These two pictures are my favourites from the evening, not because they are the best but because they are both fortunate accidents.

The first because I caught some of the fight action between two plover.

This second image is much more abstract of sanderling in flight. I often struggle to get these images, but this one was unintentional and arose as I had not changed my shutter settings after messing around with slow water movements.
